Mission Statement
"To enhance the buying power of all members and associate members by ensuring the availability of quality, competitively-priced goods and services on a province wide basis."
Trade Division: A History
The AAMDC Trade Division was born in 1936 when member municipalities decided to take advantage of their collective purchasing power.
At this time we supplied only culverts and rat control (neither of which are found on our current list of approved suppliers) and had a yearly sales volume of just over $4,000.

In 1971 the AAMDC started allowing associate members to access the buying group. Since then, we have grown to over 800 members, who are able to purchase from over 100 approved suppliers.

Our suppliers offer everything from toilet paper to grader blades.

Our last year's volumes exceeded $32.5 million.
