Under the general supervision of the Detachment Services Supervisor or designate the DSA will assist the Blackfalds RCMP in the efficient administration of serving and meeting the public needs in regards to information, complaints, emergency assistance.
Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Detachment Services Supervisor or designate the DSA will assist the Blackfalds RCMP in the efficient administration of serving and meeting the public needs in regards to information, complaints, and emergency assistance. The incumbent will perform clerical duties in support of client service, operational members of the Blackfalds RCMP, and Blackfalds Community Peace Officers. The roles and responsibilities of the incumbent is to work closely with the operational members as well as fellow support staff and to understand who is responsible for each step in an investigation and to obtain the required information to assist these employees with documentation of the specific files.

Requirements and Qualifications:
You will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally with internal and external customers. You will possess as a minimum a Grade 12 Diploma with successful completion of two (2) years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience (police or municipal environment preferred). You will possess knowledge and experience with Freedom of Information/Privacy & Access to Information Act, Records Management and accounting procedures. You must hold a current First Aid & CPR Certificate and a valid Class 5 Drivers License. You must have the ability to obtain R.C.M.P. Enhanced Operational Level security clearance and certification in CPIC, PROS, JOIN and eCollision software programs.
Hours of Work: This is a permanent-full time position within the Town of Blackfalds CUPE Local 417 Collective Bargaining Agreement with a 37.5-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with some evening and weekends as required.
