We are looking for an experienced CPO1 to join our team. This position will be reporting directly to the Manager/SGT, and will be responsible for enforcing Provincial Statutes and Municipal Bylaws.

We are looking for an experienced CPO1 to join our team.  This position will be reporting directly to the Manager/SGT, and will be responsible for enforcing Provincial Statutes and Municipal Bylaws.  The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be a suitable fit with our team.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • CPO 1 training certification completed through Alberta Solicitor General Justice College.
  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma.
  • Possess 3 – 5 years’ experience in enforcement capacity
  • Laser/radar certified.
  • Working level knowledge in administering provincial legislation, traffic enforcement and Commercial vehicles weights/dimensions Legislation.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver License.
  • Clear 5 year Driver Abstract.
  • Current Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Valid and successful completion of the P.A.R.E. physical test (4:45) within the past year.
  • Current 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Willingness and availability to work shifts, weekends and statutory holidays.

Preference will be given for:

  • Completed diploma or certificate from a recognized Law Enforcement program or equivalent law enforcement training.
  • Weights/Dimension experience
  • Commercial Vehicle enforcement
  • Successful completion of an Emergency Vehicle driving Course.
  • Experience in a rural enforcement environment.
  • Incident Command System training (i.e.) ICS 100 and 200.
  • Basic Emergency Management Training.
  • Candidate who is willing to relocate to Clearwater County.
