ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
(Permanent, Part-time)

Parkland County has a Permanent, Part-time position available in the Chief Financial Office Division for an Administrative Assistant. Under the direction of the Director, Assessment & Strategic Financial Services and the Controller, the Administrative Assistant performs support services pertaining to tasks and operations of the Chief Financial Office. This position takes care of correspondence, various agendas, minutes, records management and maintaining office supplies. Duties also include assisting with preparations for a variety of meetings and events as well as making arrangements for conference attendance. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent customer service and have strong organization and time-management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of high school supplemented by post-secondary Administrative Assistant training or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ previous administrative assistant experience.
  • Excellent writing, proof reading and calendar management skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office along with the ability to adapt to new software and work efficiently and effectively within the records management system. Experience with Microsoft Project would be an asset.
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license and satisfactory driving record

Competition Number: 17-47AMC
Rate of Pay: $30.40 per hour
Hours of Work: 21 hours per week
Competition Closing Date: Friday, September 15, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.
