With a population of 32,097, Parkland County offers a range of municipal services and a vibrant mix of agricultural, residential, industrial and recreational opportunities.

Parkland County has temporary, full-time positions available for Parks Services Workers I and II’s from approximately May 1 to August 31, 2018. Reporting to the Parks Foreman, you will be required to perform manual labor, operate light equipment and maintain established maintenance standards in all County parks as well as other related duties. You must be able to deal with general public in a courteous and effective manner and work independently as well as in a team environment.


  • Experience operating grass mowing and trimming equipment.
  • Must have a Class 5 Driver’s License. A current Driver’s Abstract must be provided.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR would be an asset.
  • Must have at least one previous season working as a Parks Service Worker for Parkland County to qualify as a Parks Services Worker II.

Competition Number: 18-09
Rate of Pay: $19.27 per hour (Parks Services Worker I)
$20.94 per hour (Parks Services Worker II)
Hours of Work: 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week
(Flexible Schedule as Required)
Competition Closing Date: Friday, February 9, 2018, at 4:30 p.m.
