The Municipal District of Lesser Slave River is currently seeking a full-time IT Support Technician responsible for providing an effective and reliable information system environment for MD staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support with hardware, software, internet, configurations, print
  • Provide server and hardware maintenance to security, backup, database, network
  • Responsible for maintaining and keeping the MD’s communication systems running with minimal downtime
  • Maintain inventory of internal licenses and track compliance recommendations in areas of responsibility
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree or diploma in Information or Computing Science, or equivalent skill gained through at least 2 years of experience in systems support
  • CompTIA A+/Network+ certification preferred
  • Direct work experience in an IT support capacity is an asset
  • Experience with firewall, VPN, remote assistance, virtualization
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft products including Office 365 administration
  • Experience in technical support and/or training is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
