Geomatics Services Senior Analyst

Permanent, Full-time - 35 hours per week

$80,262.00 - $100,300.20/ annum

Reporting to the Manager of Geomatic Services, this position is responsible for the management, development and support of GIS solutions within the organization. This position will be responsible for managing and maintaining the corporate GIS infrastructure, managing GIS projects, leading the development of web mapping applications and custom development and supporting internal and external client requests. This position requires excellent analytical and problem solving skills and up to date knowledge of GIS methodologies and technology.

 

The successful candidate will possess a university degree or advanced college diploma in Geomatics, GIS, Computer Science, Geography or related program.  Equivalent years of related working experience will be considered. A strong background in Computer Science and GIS education is preferred. A minimum of five to seven years related working experience along with a thorough understanding of GIS as a multi-disciplinary approach is required. The applicant will have proven experience developing/scripting with HTML/5 and CSS, JavaScript, VB Script, SQL Server, Python and Perl as well as a solid foundation using, developing, implementing and supporting the  ESRI platform (ArcGIS, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS online and ArcPro).  An understanding of GIS applications (mobile, desktop and web), development and implementation principles and a working knowledge scripting with open source environments is required.  Familiarity with FME, Bluebeam and AutoCAD, as well as project management, business analysis, open data and portal experience are assets.

 

The successful candidate must be willing to provide a current Criminal Record Check as part of the hiring process.
