Classification Level: $44,553.60 – $55,728.40 per annum
Reports to: Manager, Community Development

This position will be shared between Community Development (60%) and the Arts, Culture and Heritage (40%) functional areas. Reporting to the Manager, Community Development, the Administrative Assistant, Community Development provides quality administrative support to the projects and events offered by Community Development. Additionally, the incumbent will provide administrative support for the Arts, Culture and Heritage manager. The incumbent will provide superior customer service when acting as an information resource to internal and external partners and accurate and efficient administration assistance in coordinating for special events as well as projects for both functional areas. The successful candidate will possess a college or technical school Diploma in a related field, with a minimum three years’ progressive experience in special projects and/or administrative support roles. Experience working in a municipal government, recreation or community development area is an asset. A proven ability to provide client centered service with tact and diplomacy at all times is required. Strong computer skills, along with excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize would be key attributes for competent performance in this role.
