Yoga and Zumba Classes
A certified instructor will guide participants through an upbeat and energetic Zumba class and a challenging stretch with a one-hour yoga class. Choose one or the other, or be adventurous and sign up for both.
Option 1: Yoga Beginner Class - Shaw Conference Centre (9:00 am - 10:00 am)
New to yoga? This is the perfect class for you. You will learn different ways to breathe and how pranayama (breath work) affects the body. You will move through different poses to challenge and stretch the body as well as deepen your state of awareness. The hardest part about yoga is making it onto the mat for the first time but the best thing is that you don't need to be good at it to do it. Please wear exercise clothing and bring yoga mat if possible.
Option 2: Zumba Beginner Class - Shaw Conference Centre (10:30 am - 11:30 am)
This Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, dance-fitness party exhilarates your senses and works all your major groups in a high-energy cardio blast that leaves you invigorated, refreshed and full of life. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms like salsa, merengue, cumbia and samba set to sexy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, their abs, arms and thighs are toned up and their energy level is soaring! There's no other fitness class like this. Please wear exercise clothing and running shoes.
